Vietnam Adoption
Children’s Hope began working in Vietnam in 1998. We have been doing humanitarian aid there ever since and did not stop our humanitarian aid support during the 3 year moratorium. From 2003 – 2006, adoptions in Vietnam closed to US families and the entire adoption system in Vietnam was restructured. In June 2005, the US and Vietnam signed the memorandum of agreement to allow adoptions to resume with US families. Vietnam now requires that all agencies be licensed. Children’s Hope was licensed on January 25, 2006 and we completed 60 adoptions the first year it opened.
