Important Tips
In order to assist U.S. parents in the processing of Immigrant Visas for their adopted children, the U.S. Embassy suggests the following:
- check and double check the validity dates on fingerprint clearances, home studies and I-600A forms (PLEASE NOTE NEW I-600A REQUIREMENTS;
- review the checklists to insure all documentary requirements are met;
- complete the medical exam(s) prior to the interview; and,
- help us help you by keeping to intake hours of 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and established interview times.
In this way, delays, expense, and inconvenience can be avoided and minimized.
