MCC and Niger sign $23 million Threshold Grant
On March 17, 2008 Nigerien Prime Minister Seini Oumarou and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Deputy CEO Rodney Bent officiated at the signing of a $23 million threshold program. Minister of Finance Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine and USAID West Africa Mission Director Henderson Patrick signed the agreement.

Twenty-five new Peace Corps Volunteers began their two-year tours of service in Niger, after completing nine-weeks of in-country training. They were officially sworn-in by Ambassador Bernadette M.
