Maurice S. Parker was nominated on April 30, 2007 to be the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Swaziland. Ambassador Parker was sworn in on July 20, 2007 and arrived at the embassy in September 2007.

Washington, DC - HIV/AIDS implementers from around the world will gather in Kampala, Uganda from June 3-7 for the 2008 HIV/AIDS Implementers Meeting. Recognizing the rapid expansion of HIV/AIDS programs worldwide, the focus of this year s meeting is building the capacity of local prevention, treatment, and care programs; enhancing quality; and promoting coordination among partners. Rice Urges Zimbabweans to Release Election Results
The United States stands with the Zimbabwean people in carrying out the results of recent national elections, but it also calls on the government to release election results immediately. Elections were held March 29, but the results have yet to be released. Secretary Rice says the longer the results are held, the more suspicion grows.
