U.S. Ambassador Hands Over Trucks to the Belize Defence Force and the Belize National Coast Guard Service (March 27, 2008)
Trucks donated to the Belize Defence Force and the Belize National Coast Guard Service.
On March 27, at the Belize Defence Force (BDF) Headquarters, U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter handed over three Isuzu Troop carriers to the BDF and two heavy duty trucks to the Belize National Coast Guard Service (BNCG). These trucks, valued at over US$214,000, were donated under the Foreign Military Financing Program and the U.S. Department of Defense Counter-Drug Assistance Program.
"This donation of equipment is the result of cooperation and planning that will benefit the people of Belize and assist the BDF and BNCG in their security mission. It s another example of good work through partnership," said Ambassador Dieter. (more)
