One of the greatest aspects of America is the diversity of its people. In addition to enriching our society, this medley of people and viewpoints enlivens American culture. ( pdf file 450 Kb) Current Issues Secretary Traveling to Middle East Secretary Rice deplaning Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is traveling in the Middle East. She is visiting Iraq, and then will go to Bahrain to participate in an April 21 meeting of foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Egypt and Jordan. She will then go to Kuwait to participate in an Expanded Neighbors of Iraq Ministerial on April 22. Alksninis On April 18, 2008, during a ceremony held at the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, Naval Attaché Tomas A. Alksninis presented Lieutenant Colonel Marius Kazlauskas with a Meritorious Service Medal. Lt. Col.
