Our family has been blessed through adoption before; Paul’s brother has 4 adopted daughters whom we love dearly. We have wanted a family for years. We have enjoyed caring for Paul’s nieces and nephew and Malisa’s cousins. When we were first married in 1995 we worked 24 hour weekend shifts in a child abuse crisis center. This enabled us to work as a team with each other and with the children. We finally were blessed with a chance to apply our ‘practice’ at being parents, when we had a daughter in 2002 who is the love of our life.
