Please visit to read Marinas Adoption Story from Russia while this one is being made. We are Kevin and Lisa Carrier, and we are in the process of adopting from China. We are working with America-World Adoption Association (AWAA) to help us to bring our new daughter home. We decided we wanted to adopt again in October 2003. We were ready to send our application to AWAA, but due to circomstances beyond our control, we were unable to do so. We felt it was a better time in May of 2004. Now, just a bit about our family. Kevin and Lisa are both 42 yrs old, and married for 7 years. Frank is now 20 yrs old and in the US Navy, serving on the USS Frank Cable in Guam. John is 18 yrs old and a high school senior. He is planning on Graduating in June 2005, then he plans on joining the Navy. He is to report to Recruit Training Commant in Great Lakes, IL on July 8, 2005. Marina is now 5 yrs old, and started kindergarten in Sept, 2004. Please read her adoption story as you wait for our next story to be written. Our little one from China will be named Aliyah Carrier. We have not decided on a middle name yet, but we do know it will include her Chinese name. We will be calling her Ali. What does the family think A: Marina is very excited about having a new baby sister, but not so happy about having to share her toys. She has also shared with us that she wants a "boy sister" B: Frank is thrilled that he will have a new sister and Marina will have a sister to grow up with. C: John thinks we are totally nuts. D: All of our parents are thrilled to have another grandchild on the way.
