We developed the film from our 35mm camera and added a few pictures to the various photo albums from our trip. We also posted some of the pictures of Katherine at the orphanage. The nannies took a roll of pictures of her with the disposable camera we sent with a care package in February. full journal entry | comments (1) May 19, 2006 We’re Home ... Finally! We made it back home this morning! Wow, what a long, long 2 days it has been. We woke up at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday and headed for the Guongzhou airport and flew into Hong Kong. We had a 3 hour layover in Hong Kong and it gave us a chance to stretch our legs and get prepared for the 15 hour flight into Chicago. It is our last night in China, and our last post until we arrive home on Thursday evening. Today we went to the U.S Consulate in Guongzhou for the swearing in ceremony for Katherine to become a U.S. citizen. Once we land in Chicago she will be an American! We have been in our own little world here and we can hardly keep track of what day it is; so imagine our surprise when we learned that there is a typhoon heading our way and should hit tomorrow.
