Our Emma Adventure
Our Emma AdventureOur Emma Adventure
We invite you to peek in on our journey to our precious daughter from China, Emma Sue Elizabeth. Our familys adoption process has been quite an adventure so far. We began in December 2004, and received our referral in June 2006. We hope to travel to China and receive Emma in August 2006. Throughout this entire process, we have been and will continue to be so thankful for the love and support of family and friends, and Gods unending faithfulness!

Emmas 1st Birthday
We were so thankful to be able to have our little sweetheart at home with us for her very first birthday! She certainly enjoyed a whirlwind of celebrating. Her special day began with our traditional "Birthday Breakfast in Bed," which meant her morning bottle and a box of new Fruity Cheerios. She had presents waiting for her when she came downstairs. She loved all of her Fisher Price Learn and Grow toys. We had lunch at P.F. Changs (which admittedly was enjoyed far more by the older members of our family). When we came home from dinner, we had another round of presents with Daddy. Emma seemed thrilled with all the festivities! We also celebrated with our families in Illinois and Ohio. How blessed Emma is to be so showered with love on all sides. We had such fun watching her big-eyed expressions at all the gifts and cake/cupcakes. Our baby is growing! Happy # 1, Miss Emma!

She couldnt really stretch out in it or crawl with it on, so it was pretty much worn in small stretches... once for Grammie and Papas, another time when Daddy got home, and yet again for neighborhood trick-or-treating. If you were to ask Miss Sweet Pea, I think shed tell you this dressing up business may be overrated. Besides, nobody gives ...
