"Grandma" Drops Off Dossier
Today Chloe and I got the car inspected, drove by our adoption agency to drop off our completed dossier (which Ive had in a file drawer for a couple of weeks), and we met Daddy for lunch. Now Chloe is up in her room, babbling and playing music on her Glowworm, and refusing to take a nap. Oh, well...I may have to go get her soon.
I was excited to drop off the dossier, but Ill be even more excited to be able to send it on its way to China. For those who dont know, we have to wait until December 28th to qualify for another adoption. It seems so silly to wait for December 28th, when our wait after LID will be 3+ years...and probably more + than not. I tell myself I dont care, but thats a great big crock of you-know-what. I dont think Chloesdaddy cares, so Im trying not to care. I am glad that well have time to devote to Chloe, but Id prefer a 2-3 year gap between babies. I dont want to think about Chloe being 6 or 7 before we can go back to China to get Holly. But in the grand scheme of things, I dont have a single leg to stand on as far as complaining goes, so Ill shut up about that.

Id say Im annoyed, but I think Im amused, too. Maybe both, if thats possible. I also think either that man was insane, or I am living in a state of severe denial. Heres what happened:
This old man was at the auto shop where I was having my car inspection done. He was walking in as I was paying for my inspection, and Chloe immediately responded to his presence by putting her head on my shoulder. He smiled and said, "Grandmas girl." I looked around to see what old lady he was referring to, but there was no one there but me. HELLO! I am 38 years old. I have pictures of me on this site...is there ANY w...
